MOSCOW (AA) - Russia’s Defense Ministry said Tuesday that Israel attacked Nairab International Airport in Syria's northern province of Aleppo.
Two Israeli F-16 fighter jets fired cruise missiles Monday without entering Syria's airspace which struck the airport, the ministry said in a statement.
Three civilian employees of the airport were wounded in the attack, it emphasized.
Russia has been consistently criticizing Israel for launching attacks on Syrian territory under the pretext of fighting Iran-backed militia groups, pointing out that attacks kill civilians and violate international law.
