ISTANBUL (AA) — Russia said early on Sunday that it shot down a Ukrainian drone over an urban district in the country's Moscow region.
Air defense systems downed the attacking drone over the Bogorodskoye district, Moscow Governor Sergey Sobyanin said in a statement on Telegram.
"There were no preliminary damages or casualties as a result of falling debris. Emergency services are on the scene," Sobyanin further said.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that the "aircraft-type" drone was shot down at 1.00 a.m. local time (2200GMT).
Ukrainian officials have yet to comment on the incident.
