MOSCOW (AA) - The Russian Foreign Ministry on Friday summoned an envoy of the Greek Cypriot administration over the arrest of a Russian journalist in the administration's capital.
Citing a diplomatic source, Russian state news agency TASS said Kypros Giorgallis was summoned over the forcible detention of Alexander Gasyuk, a correspondent with the Russian newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
Gasyuk was detained on Thursday near his house, and the arrest involved the use of force. He suffered an arm injury and is currently hospitalized.
