MOSCOW (AA) - Russia and Ukraine on Tuesday accused each other of carrying out airstrikes as the latter continues its counteroffensive.
Governor of Russia's Kursk region Roman Starovoit said a Ukrainian drone dropped an explosive device on a power station, leaving seven settlements without electricity supply.
The emergency services are working to restore the infrastructure, he said on Telegram.
Governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov, meanwhile, said five casualties were caused by Ukraine's drone strike.
Explosions were also heard in the Russian city of Taganrog, near the Ukrainian border.
Meanwhile, air raid alert was announced in several Ukrainian regions Monday night, according to an online map tracking attacks.
Serhiy Lysak, the head of Kriviy Rih military administration, reported an explosion at one of the city's enterprises.
Traffic was halted at the ferry border point Orlovka due to damages caused by an air strike. The State Border Service of Ukraine said the check post was on the border with Romania.
Earlier, Oleh Kiper, head of the military administration of Odesa region, said the port of Izmail was damaged in the explosions.
