MOSCOW (AA) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Friday held a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in which they discussed a range of issues including normalization with Azerbaijan and bilateral ties.
According to a Russian Foreign Ministry statement, the top diplomats met on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue Conference in New Delhi.
"The foreign ministers discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda. Approaches to the promotion of cooperation on international platforms, within the framework of common integration associations are compared," the statement said.
The two minister also exchanged of views on regional issues and Russia pointed out "the urgency of intensifying efforts on all tracks" of Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization in accordance with trilateral agreements.
Lavrov and Mirzoyan agreed on further contacts, it said.
Azerbaijan liberated Karabakh region from nearly three decades of Armenian occupation in the fall of 2020, and the normalization process began after a Russia-brokered cease-fire.
