MOSCOW (AA) - Commander of Russia's Black Sea Fleet Viktor Sokolov appeared on Russian TV on Tuesday, a day after Ukraine claimed he was killed in airstrikes on the navy headquarters in the Crimean port city of Sevastopol.
The Russian Defense Ministry released a video, which was aired by several TV channels, showing Sokolov taking part in a meeting of military chiefs in Moscow.
Sokolov looked pale and was sitting motionless, which may be due to an injury.
Ukraine's Special Operation Forces said its forces killed 34 Russian officers including the top admiral. As many as 105 people were also injured in the strikes, which destroyed the headquarters, it added.
