MOSCOW (AA) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday met with Omani Crown Prince and Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports Theyazin bin Haitham in the capital Moscow.
The meeting between Putin and Haitham took place within the framework of the "Russia Calling" investment forum held in Moscow, according to a statement issued by the Kremlin.
Putin mentioned bilateral trade ties in his opening remarks at the start of the meeting, saying that while the bilateral trade volume is small, it is growing and increased in the first nine months of this year.
The Russian president pointed out Oman's interest in logistical projects and said he would discuss issues related to the "North-South" transportation corridor during his meeting with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in Moscow.
"Our businesses are showing interest in the energy sector. Direct flights have been launched. Tourism is also one of the areas of interest," the statement quoted the president as telling the Omani crown prince.
