MOSCOW (AA) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said Tuesday that cooperation between Moscow and Beijing is a "global stabilizing factor, the driving force behind the global transition to multipolarity."

His remarks came at a meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang, in the Chinese capital where he said Russia and China have the same or similar approaches to the fundamental issues of the modern world order and international problems.

"The Russian-Chinese bond is a significant stabilizing factor in the world, a truly driving force for the formation of a more just and sustainable multipolar world order," he said.

Moscow and Beijing are strengthening cooperation within the framework of multilateral international associations and forums, he noted.

"Broad prospects are opening up in connection with the expansion of the BRICS and Russia's chairmanship in this association next year," he said.

Russia and China are fulfilling the strategic tasks that were set by the leaders of the two countries: increasing the share of national currencies in mutual payments, strengthening business contacts and creating comfortable working conditions for commercial companies.

Following the meeting, the two delegations signed 10 documents facilitating the implementation of the stated tasks.
