RIYADH (AA) - Russian intelligence chief Sergey Naryshkin has met Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman in Riyadh, Russia Today reported Wednesday.
Naryshkin arrived in the Saudi capital Monday, RT reported, citing the Russian intelligence service’s media office.
At his meeting with bin Salman, Naryshkin reportedly discussed bilateral relations and regional security with the crown prince.
Naryshkin also met his Saudi counterpart, Khalid al-Humaidan, with whom he reportedly discussed means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries’ intelligence services, especially in terms of the fight against terrorism.
According to some political observers, Moscow seeks to strengthen ties with Washington’s historical allies in the region, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Qatar.
