ISTANBUL (AA) - Russia's President Vladimir Putin on Monday discussed bilateral ties, along with ongoing commercial and economic projects, with his Uzbek counterpart over the phone.
"A number of topical issues of further development of Russian-Uzbek relations of strategic partnership and alliance, including those related to the implementation of promising projects in the trade and economic sphere, were discussed," said a Kremlin statement after the call between Putin and Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Earlier in the day, the Russian leader also held phone calls with his Iranian and Kazakh counterparts, during which he discussed bilateral ties and "agreed to continue contacts."
