ISTANBUL (AA) - Saudi Arabia on Tuesday evening announced the resumption of the work of its diplomatic mission in Syria.
This came in a statement by the Saudi Foreign Ministry, two days after readmitting Syria to the Arab League after about 12 years of suspension.
Saudi Arabia attributed the motion to "the decision issued on Sunday by the (Arab) League, the implementation of its charters and the United Nations charters, brotherly ties, and the promotion of security and stability in the region."
The Syrian regime has recently begun to exchange official visits and contacts with several Arab countries in recent months.
