RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AA) - Saudi Arabia on Wednesday lifted a ban on flights from six countries after suspension due to the omicron variant of coronavirus.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior said flights will be allowed from Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil, Vietnam, Egypt and India.
Travelers from these countries, however, will be quarantined for five days before being allowed into the kingdom.
The decision comes at a time when countries around the world have begun to impose restrictions on foreign arrivals to their lands, as part of efforts to stem the spread of the new COVID variant.
