ISTANBUL (AA) – Saudi Arabia from Wednesday began to offer electronic tourist visas (eVisa) for Turkish citizens holding visas or resident permits of the US, UK, and Europe’s Schengen countries.
The Saudi move comes in line with the kingdom’s tourism vision 2030, which aims to make Saudi Arabia among the top five global destinations.
Turkish citizens who meet the requirements of the visa, including a valid passport for six months, will be allowed to obtain the electronic visa from the Saudi visa issuance website (https://visa.visitsaudi.com/).
Saudi authorities will also require health insurance and a hotel reservation in the kingdom.
Turkish airlines run nearly 80 weekly trips to the Saudi cities of Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam.
