RIYADH (AA) – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will attend the G20 summit later this month in Argentina, according to the official SPA news agency.
The crown prince will attend the summit as part of a foreign tour, SPA quoted Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Abdulaziz al-Falih as saying.
Saudi authorities have yet to announce the details of bin Salman’s expected tour.
The G20 summit is scheduled to be held in Argentina on November 30.
If confirmed, the tour will be the first by the crown prince since the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi last month.
Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist working for The Washington Post, was killed shortly after he entered the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul Oct. 2.
Saudi Arabia had offered shifting explanations for Khashoggi's disappearance before suggesting he was killed during a botched rendition operation by rogue agents.
