ISLAMABAD (AA) - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to Islamabad has been postponed, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry confirmed on Saturday.
"The visit is being rescheduled. The new date will be mutually finalized," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mumtaz Zahra said.
According to Pakistani officials, the crown prince was expected to visit the country on Nov. 21, and announce another financial bailout package to support the ailing economy.
Earlier this week, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met the Saudi leader on the sidelines of COP27 climate change conference in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, and expressed confidence that the latter’s upcoming visit would promote bilateral cooperation.
