RIYADH (AA) - Two wanted individuals were killed on Sunday when they targeted a security checkpoint in eastern Saudi Arabia, local media reported.
According to Al-Arabiya TV channel, four "terrorists" threw hand grenades at a checkpoint in Abu Hadriyah area in an attempt to get past the point with the ultimate aim to flee the Kingdom.
Security forces repelled the attack killing two and detaining the others.
Three of the assailants are on the wanted list of Shia-dominated Qatif province.
Saudi authorities are yet comment on the incident.
