Saudi king, crown prince condemn Ankara terrorist attack

Sunday's attack in Turkish capital was carried out by PKK terror group

ISTANBUL (AA) - Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have condemned Sunday's terrorist attack in Ankara, state news agency SPA reported.

Two police officers suffered minor injuries when a terrorist blew himself up in front of the Interior Ministry in the Turkish capital, while another terrorist was "neutralized" by security forces at the entrance.

The Saudi rulers on Tuesday sent separate cables to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, denouncing the terror attack.

While Saudi King Salman stressed the kingdom's "solidarity" with the Turkish republic and its people, Bin Salman, who is also the prime minister, wished speedy recovery to the injured.

Dozens of countries have voiced strong condemnation of the attack carried out by the PKK terrorist group.
