ISTANBUL (AA) - Germany's Schalke 04 defeated Istanbul's Galatasaray 2-0 Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League.
During the match at Schalke's Arena AufSchalke Stadium in Gelsenkirchen, Guido Burgstaller gave Schalke the lead in the fourth minute, with the first half ending 1-0.
German striker Mark Uth placed a shot into the left-hand corner of goalkeeper Fernando Muslera's net in the 57th minute and the match ended 2-0.
The sides drew 0-0 in their first match in Istanbul on Oct. 24.
Galatasaray's other rival in Group D, Portugal's Porto, beat Russia's Lokomotiv Moscow 3-1.
Porto are at the top of the group with 10 points, followed by Schalke with 8 points, Galatasaray with 4 points and Lokomotiv Moscow with no points.
