ANKARA (AA) - German football club Schalke 04 signed its former player Sead Kolasinac on loan from England's Arsenal on Thursday.
"Sead Kolasinac will soon be donning Royal Blue [Schalke] once again, signing a six-month contract with the club which will enter into effect on Monday (4th Jan.)," Schalke said in a statement and added that the defender will wear the number 20 jersey.
"I’m happy and proud to be wearing the royal blue of Schalke 04 once again," said Kolasinac, who will play for Schalke until the end of the 2020-21 season.
Kolasinac, 27-year-old Bosnian left back, was a Schalke member in 2012-2017. Then he made his way to Arsenal.
He scored 5 goals and 15 assists in 113 appearances for the London club.
Kolasinac helped Arsenal win the 2020 English FA Cup.
He also plays for his native Bosnia and Herzegovina.
