ISTANBUL (AA) - Senegal beat Equatorial Guinea 3-1 on Sunday to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semifinals.
Famara Diedhiou opened the scoring for the Senegalese team in the 28th minute while Jannick Buyla leveled the game in the 57th minute at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium.
Senegal took the lead again when Cheikhou Kouyate found the net in the 68th minute.
Ismaila Sarr netted his team's third goal in the 79th minute and the Lions of Teranga reached the semifinal for the second successive time.
Senegal will play against Burkina Faso in the next round on Wednesday.
