ISTANBUL (AA) - World no.10 Serena Williams sailed through to the Australian Open's semifinals by beating second seed Simona Halep on Tuesday.
The American tennis star claimed a 2-0 win over Romania's Halep with a straight-sets of 6-3 and 6-3 at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena.
With this result, Williams reached the Australian Open semifinals for the first time since she won the title in 2017.
She will face Japanese star Naomi Osaka in the next phase.
