ANKARA (AA) - The cooperation between German engineering group Siemens and leading Turkish vehicle producer Bozankaya over the work on Bangkok's public transport lines is successful, Siemens Mobility CEO Sabrina Soussan said on Friday.
The Siemens Mobility-Bozankaya consortium won a tender in 2016 to produce metro cars for Bangkok's public transport.
"This is a result, a great cooperation with Bozankaya," she said in the capital Ankara.
She stressed that the companies had a second project in Bangkok.
"We want to continue the success story that we started in Turkey," she added
With the Bangkok tender Bozankaya made the country's first-ever metro car export -- $46.1 million.
Bozankaya, founded in 1989, is also known for producing Turkey's first indigenous fully electric bus.
Siemens Mobility -- which employs around 60,000 people -- provides transport solutions worldwide.
