ANKARA (AA) - The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) opened an investigation into two matches that finished with bizarre 187 goals.
In a statement, the SLFA said on Monday that it "opened an official investigation" into the "impractical" results of the two games in which Kahunla Rangers hammered Lumbebu United 95-0, and Gulf FC thrashed Koquima Lebanon 91-1 in the Eastern Regional Super 10 League matches that were played on Sunday.
The players and officials will be investigated amid claims of match-fixing.
The results of these matches were annulled.
SLFA President Thomas Daddy Brima said: "We can't stand by and see an embarrassing situation like this go unpunished.
"We're going to launch an immediate investigation and bring to book all those responsible for this mediocrity," he said, adding that people found guilty will face "the country's anti-corruption commission."
