ANKARA (AA) - Turkish side Sivasspor were eliminated by Italian Serie A club Fiorentina in the UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 after losing 1-4 in the second leg Thursday.
The Italian side reached the quarterfinals with a 5-1 aggregate.
Sivasspor were hopeful at the beginning of the match as they got the lead with Erdogan Yesilyurt's goal in the 35th minute at New 4 Eylul Stadium.
A goal by Fiorentina’s Brazilian forward Arthur Cabral in the 44th minute leveled the score, and the first half ended 1-1.
Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic brought the lead to his team in the 62nd minute, then Sivasspor defender Dimitrios Goutas’ own goal made it 3-1 for the Italian club.
The hosts' midfielder Hakan Arslan was sent off in the 81st minute with a red card.
Gaetano Castrovilli of Fiorentina netted in the 89th minute and made the final score 4-1.
