MOSCOW (AA) – South African President Cyril Ramaphosa arrived in Kyiv on Friday morning as part of the African peacekeeping mission to find ways to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
The press service of the South African presidency published a short statement and video showing the arrival of Ramaphosa at a train station in the Ukrainian capital.
Ramaphosa and other members of the mission, including the presidents of Zambia, Comoros and Senegal, traveled to Kyiv from Poland by train.
Later on Friday, the mission will hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and in the afternoon, Ramaphosa will leave Kyiv and travel to Saint Petersburg, where the African delegation will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday.
