ANKARA (AA) - A South Korean band came to Turkey as part of a cultural exchange project and met avant-rock lovers.
Performing at a top university in the capital Ankara on Monday, band leader Ilwoo Lee said he is happy to be in Turkey.
"I knew that Turkey is a touristic and a beautiful country. However, I didn't have enough time to see the country due to the concert. I hope to come and see this country as a tourist," he added.
Underlining that Turkey and South Korea are brother countries, he said: "Turkey fought shoulder to shoulder with us in the Korean War. Thus, we call Turkey a brother country."
"These kinds of activities are important for the cultural exchange between Turkey and Korea. I think these events will bring the two countries closer together," he added.
He also said the group's members loved Turkish music, cuisine and coffee.
