OVIEDO, Spain (AA) - Spain on Thursday condemned the “unacceptable” terror attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) in Ankara, which left five people dead and 22 injured.

“Spain condemns all forms of terrorism and stands with Türkiye in the fight against this scourge,” according to a statement by the Foreign Ministry.

“We express our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” it said.

Spain joins other nations, including the US and the UN Security Council in condemning the attack, which Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said was carried out by members of the PKK terror group.

The PKK is designated as a terror group by the EU, the US and Türkiye.
