Spain forward Joselu scored twice against Getafe as Real Madrid bagged an important 2-0 win Thursday to top the Spanish La Liga.
Joselu, 33, who was signed from Espanyol in 2023, scored the opener via a header in the 14th minute at Getafe's home stadium.
In the 56th minute, he doubled the lead for the Whites after sending a left-footed low shot that beat Getafe goalkeeper David Soria.
Then Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior had an easy chance but missed it.
Meanwhile in this match, Antonio Rudiger, Real Madrid's German defender, was injured to be replaced by Eduardo Camavinga.
Leaders Real Madrid have 57 points in 22 matches. La Liga's surprise package Girona have 55 points to be in second spot.
Mid-table Getafe have 29 points.
Real Madrid will play a derby in their next fixture against Atletico Madrid at home on Sunday.
