GENEVA (AA) - Spanish Premier Pedro Sanchez on Wednesday said he talked with Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority Mohamed Mustafa, congratulating him on "his appointment and the formation of a new government."
"I have reiterated all the support and solidarity of the Spanish people with the Palestinian people and Spain's determination and commitment to the recognition of the State of Palestine," Pedro Sanchez said on X.
Sanchez reiterated that the realization of the two-state solution is "the only way to achieve lasting peace and security in the region."
In mid-March, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas appointed Mustafa, the head of the Palestinian Investment Fund, as the new prime minister.
