ISTANBUL (AA) - Spain’s annual Consumer Price Index came in at 3.4%, according to data from the country’s statistical office released on Friday.
The figure eased from a 3.6% increase in May, said the National Statistics Institute.
Transport prices increased with an easier figure of 2.7% in June versus 3.8% in May due to reduced fuel costs and the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages hiked 4.2% this month versus 4.4% last month, leading to the slight decline in headline inflation.
On a monthly basis, Spain’s Consumer Price Index came in at 0.4%, upwardly revised from 0.3% in a second reading, following May’s rate of 0.3%.
