ANKARA (AA) - Legendary Spanish footballer Sergio Busquets has joined Inter Miami, the US-based club announced Sunday.
The 35-year-old midfielder will stay with the Major League Soccer (MLS) side for two years.
"This is a special and exciting opportunity that I’m very excited to take. I’m looking forward to this next step in my career with Inter Miami," said Busquets.
"I was impressed by the club when I came with Barcelona last year, and now I’m happy and ready to represent the club myself. I can’t wait to help bring the success that this ambitious club strives for."
Busquets bagged three UEFA Champions League titles, three FIFA Club World Cups and nine Spanish La Liga titles during his 20 years with Barcelona.
The 2010 World Cup winner netted twice in his 143 caps for Spain.
US club Inter Miami recently signed Busquets' former teammate from Barcelona, Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.
