Sporting Lisbon were crowned the Portuguese football champions on Sunday.
After second-place Benfica lost 2-0 at Famalicao, Ruben Amorim's Sporting clinched the 2024 Portuguese Primeira Liga title with two games to spare.
Jose Luis Rodriguez and Zaydou Youssouf scored second-half goals to end Benfica's contention.
Sporting are at the top of the league standings with 84 points in 32 matches.
Their city rivals Benfica have 76 points.
Sporting have won their 20th Portuguese title, their first since 2021.
Last season's champions Benfica are the record holders in Portugal with 38 wins.
