KHARTOUM, Sudan (AA) - Sudan announced Sunday that nine people were killed and 35 injured in shelling by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Khartoum state.
The rebel militia shelled residential neighborhoods in the “Revolution area” of the city of Omdurman, according to the Ministry of Health.
Sudan has been ravaged by fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the RSF since April 2023.
The fighting has resulted in more than 20,000 deaths and displaced over 14 million people, according to estimates from the UN and local authorities.
