ANKARA (AA) - The Phoenix Suns beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 134-124 in Friday's NBA game.
Veteran point guard Chris Paul led the Suns to their ninth straight NBA victory with his triple double -- 21 points, 14 assists, and 10 rebounds -- while Devin Booker contributed with 29 points at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.
Booker praised Paul's leadership saying: "Keeping everybody organized is the most underrated part besides the numbers that he puts up. Just making sure the team is ready to go and putting people in the right spots."
Anthony Edwards, Malik Beasley, and Karl-Anthony Towns all scored more than 22 points for the Timberwolves but their combined efforts were not enough to keep the Suns at bay.
The Phoenix Suns enjoy their top spot in the Western Conference standings with 39 wins and nine losses, while the Minnesota Timberwolves lay eighth with 24 wins and 25 losses.
