ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's president on Thursday welcomed Turkish Super Lig champions Besiktas at the Presidential Complex in the capital Ankara.
"Club Chairman Ahmet Nur Cebi presented Besiktas jerseys signed by team players to the country's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan," Besiktas said in a statement.
Erdogan congratulated the team on winning both the Turkish Super Lig title and Turkish Cup, the Black Eagles added.
Vice President Fuat Oktay, Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoglu, and Turkish Football Federation President Nihat Ozdemir also took part in the visit.
Besiktas this season clinched its 16th league title and 10th Turkish Cup.
