ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye is likely to post a current account deficit for January 2025 of $2.34 billion, an Anadolu survey found on Friday.
Estimates from a group of 11 economists ranged between a deficit of $2.37 billion and one of $4.5 billion..
The current account balance in December saw a surplus of $4.65 billion.
The Turkish Central Bank will release its official balance of payments data next week.
The current account balance is also expected to post a deficit of $22.2 billion for the end of 2025, with economists’ estimates ranging between $18 billion and $28 billion.
