BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - Bosnian police apprehended a suspect on Monday believed to be responsible for setting fire to a mosque in Gradacac, near the city of Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The arson incident occurred on Sunday at the Hussein Mosque in Gradacac.
While no casualties or injuries were reported, the mosque suffered extensive damage.
Gradacac Mayor Edis Dervisagic said that they were very upset and shocked by the incident, and that the arsonist should get the punishment he deserves.
He also stated his commitment to addressing the mosque's damages and reopening it for worship as soon as possible.
