ANKARA (AA) - Swiss Super League club Lugano signed Senegalese striker Demba Ba on Friday.
Lugano said that Ba, 36, sealed the deal with the Swiss club until June 30, 2022.
Ba previously played for Germany's Hoffenheim, English clubs West Ham United, Newcastle United and Chelsea, China's Shanghai Shenhua and Turkey's Besiktas, Goztepe and Medipol Basaksehir.
Last season he scored nine goals in 37 matches for Basaksehir.
The experienced forward helped Chelsea win the 2013 UEFA Europa League trophy.
He also won the Turkish Super Lig title in 2017 with Besiktas and again in 2020 with Basaksehir.
Ba was a free agent when left Basaksehir in April. His deal at the Istanbul club was previously said to be terminated with a mutual agreement.
