Taliban urge non-interference in Afghanistan's internal affairs in response to Russian statements

Interim government emphasizes inclusivity, rejects external involvement

KABUL, Afghanistan (AA) - The Taliban on Saturday urged non-interference in Afghanistan's internal affairs.

It came in response to statements by the Russian foreign minister regarding the establishment of a government in Afghanistan that includes all parties.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the interim government in Afghanistan, made a statement on Afghan state television.

Mujahid emphasized to Lavrov that the interim government is an inclusive administration covering all factions in the country, and he underscored that no country should interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in a news conference that for the formal recognition of the Taliban administration, a government with political inclusivity must be established in Afghanistan.
