WASHINGTON (AA) - Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan will pay on official visit to Türkiye on April 17-21 for talks, Türkiye's Communications Directorate said on Wednesday.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Hassan will meet on Thursday to review bilateral relations, and discuss steps that can be taken to improve cooperation, the Directorate said in a statement.
The leaders will also exchange views on the current global and regional issues.
Signing of several agreements that will make significant contributions to the contractual basis of relations is also on the agenda.
During Erdogan's visit to Tanzania in 2017, 10 agreements were signed which provide the legal basis of bilateral relations in the fields of defense industry, education, development, health, tourism, defense industry economy and communication.
The first meeting of the Türkiye-Tanzania Joint Economic Commission took place in 2012 in Dar es Salaam -- the largest city and financial hub of Tanzania--, and the second meeting was held in Turkish capital in Ankara in 2017.
