ANKARA (AA) - Spanish teen tennis whiz Carlos Alcaraz on Saturday kept up his spectacular journey by beating three-time champion Novak Djokovic to reach the Madrid Open final.

After defeating Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals, Alcaraz overcame World No. 1 Serbian Djokovic 6-7, 7-5, and 7-6 in a three-and-a-half-hour semifinal thriller.

He also made history as the first player ever to beat Nadal and Djokovic back-to-back on clay.

In the final, Alcaraz is set to take on either Alexander Zverev or Stefanos Tsitsipas.
