BERLIN (AA) - TikTok has limited the reach of Maximilian Krah, a member of the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, local media reported Tuesday.
In a statement, the popular streaming app said that Krah was restricted on the grounds that he made provocative posts against immigrants.
Krah also confirmed to Germany’s DPA news agency that TikTok had prevented his videos from showing up for users who do not follow him.
TikTok said the action was due to repeated violations of the company's guidelines and added that users have been informed that future videos posted by the far-right politician cannot be recommended for the "For you” feed.
In July, Krah, a member of the European Parliament for Alternative for Germany, was elected as the AfD’s lead candidate in the 2024 European elections, winning support from more than 65 of the party’s delegates.
