AFYONKARAHISAR, Turkey (AA) - Racing in western Turkey, French rider Tom Vialle on Wednesday won the second race of the FIM Motocross World Championship MX2 Afyon stage with a time of 35:15.694.
Maxime Renaux of France took second with a time of 35:21.228, while Jed Beaton of Australia came in third with 35:42.676 at Afyon Motorsports Center in western Turkey.
With these results, both Vialle and Renaux have racked up 47 points in two MX2 races in the MXGP of Afyon with 22-25 and 25-22 points respectively.
Renaux currently tops the MX2 championship classification table with 361 points, while Mattia Guadagnini of Italy is second with 312 points, and former champion Tom Vialle is a distant ninth with 227 points.
Yamaha currently leads the manufacturers classification table with 402 points, followed by KTM with 386, and Husqvarna in third with 300 points.
The next race in the MX2 championship will be held on the island of Sardinia, Italy on Sept. 19.
