ISTANBUL (AA) - The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and the UAE on Monday discussed bilateral relations and regional issues of common concern in a phone conversation.
“During the telephone conversation, the parties noted with satisfaction the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates on bilateral and international platforms and discussed the future prospects of relations,” a statement by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry read.
The statement said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov discussed the political, economic, and trade prospects between Baku and Abu Dhabi with his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
It also noted Bayramov's certainty that cooperation in these fields between Azerbaijan and the UAE will develop further.
“Other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the phone conversation,” the statement concluded.
