WASHINGTON (AA) - US Assistant Secretary for Energy Resources Geoffrey Pyatt will travel to Greece and Türkiye on Oct. 8-10 for high-level meetings on regional energy transitions and security priorities, the State Department announced on Monday.
In Athens, Pyatt will meet senior Greek officials, including from the prime minister’s office, to strengthen US-Greece energy cooperation, focusing on clean energy and regional connectivity, it said in a statement.
In Istanbul, Pyatt will join the Atlantic Council’s Regional Clean and Secure Energy Conference alongside officials from Türkiye, Albania, North Macedonia, and Romania.
Discussions will center on advancing clean energy and bolstering Ukraine’s energy resilience for the winter.
