ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s foreign minister on Tuesday shared his country’s contributions to international efforts during the novel coronavirus pandemic at a virtual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Twitter that he attended the 3rd Meeting of Global Action Group of the WEF via video conference.
"#COVID19 has exposed our weaknesses, but now we also have opportunities to build a better and safer world,” Cavusoglu added.
Across the world, COVID-19 has claimed over 930,300 lives in 188 countries and regions since last December.
The US, India, Brazil, and Russia are currently the worst-hit countries.
More than 29.36 million cases have been reported worldwide, with recoveries exceeding 19.91 million, according to figures compiled by the US’ Johns Hopkins University.
