ISTANBUL (AA) – The foreign ministers of Turkiye and Iran on Monday discussed over phone latest developments in Ukraine amid its war with Russia, Turkiye's Foreign Ministry said.

Mevlut Cavusoglu and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also spoke on bilateral relations and the upcoming Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkiye, which is scheduled for March 11-13 in southern resort city of Antalya.

In addition, Cavusoglu and Amir-Abdollahian talked about the ongoing efforts to revive the Iran nuclear deal in Vienna.

Russia's war on Ukraine has met international outrage, with the EU, UK, and US, among others, imposing a range of economic sanctions on Moscow. A number of major companies are also cutting their business ties with Russia.

At least 406 civilians have been killed and 801 others injured in Ukraine since the beginning of the war, according to UN figures.

More than 1.7 million people have also fled to neighboring countries, the UNHCR said.
