ANKARA (AA) - Tottenham Hotspur thrashed Crystal Palace 4-0 in an English Premier League match Wednesday.
Tottenham's English forward Harry Kane scored double to be named the man of the match.
After a goalless first half, Kane scored two goals for the visitors in the 48th and 53rd minutes at Selhurst Park Stadium in London.
Kane has scored 198 goals in total to be third in the Premier League's all-time top scorers list.
Alan Shearer scored 260 goals to be the league's all-time highest scorer. Shearer is followed by Wayne Rooney, who tallied 208 goals. Both Shearer and Rooney have already retired from the game.
Irish defender Matt Doherty finished in the area in the 68th minute, sending the ball to the bottom left corner.
Only four minutes later, South Korean star Son Heung-min added another Tottenham goal to make the result 4-0 for Spurs.
Tottenham are fifth with 33 points in 18 matches. Crystal Palace have 22 points to be in 12th position.
In the next fixture, Tottenham will host archrivals and league leaders Arsenal on Jan. 15.
Arsenal top the Premier League table with 44 points.
The Gunners' nearest opponents, Manchester City, have collected 36 points.
On Thursday, Manchester City will visit Chelsea in London.
