ISTANBUL (AA) - TRT World’s video series on Zionism won the Silver Telly Award -- one of the prestigious competitions in broadcasting.
“TRT World wins prestigious Silver Telly Award for its online video series that explores early 19th-century Zionist efforts to establish a Jewish state in the United States, Argentina, and Uganda,” it said Wednesday on X.
“When the Zionist movement wanted to establish a Jewish state outside of Israel” ranked first in the News and Information category of the competition.
The first episode of the three-part series reveals the aims of the Zionist movement that was organized in Europe to establish a Jewish state in East Africa before occupying and settling in Palestine. In addition, Zionists who aimed to carve out a "Jewish state" in Kenya with the movement called the "Uganda Plan," are scrutinized.
The aim of the Zionists organized in Europe to establish a state in Argentina and an occupation goal are discussed in the second part.
In the final episode, the plan of Zionist representatives in the period regarding the "Ararat Jewish State," in which they wanted the US to take part, is conveyed to the audience in full detail.
The series, which has been the main source of conflict and war for years, reveals the expansionist plans of the Zionist movement in various parts of the world with an aggressive approach, even before the occupation of Palestine.
Based in the US, Telly Awards is considered one of the prestigious competitions in broadcasting around the world receiving more than 13,000 applications in 2024.
The Telly jury, which brings together leading names, rewards the best content from the world's leading media organizations, advertising agencies and production companies.
TRT World was deemed worthy of four separate Telly Awards in 2023 in the "News and Information" and "Documentary" categories.
