WASHINGTON (AA) - President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law has been taken to New York-area hospital after opening a letter that contained a mysterious white powder, police reportedly confirmed Monday.
The letter was addressed to Donald Trump, Jr., local news outlets reported citing senior law enforcement and city officials.
His wife, Vanessa, opened the letter mid-Monday morning. Fire officials decontaminated her and two others before sending them to a local hospital for evaluation.
Police said Vanessa Trump reported being nauseous and was coughing, according to The Associated Press.
It is unclear what type of powder was inside the envelope.
